Comments:
Elvira (called Ube by her foster mom) is approximately 16 months old (DOB estimated at November 2023). She is a tiny bulldog at only 30 lbs. She came into rescue from the shelter with such severe ear infections that SCBR had no choice but to remove both her ear canals as she was in terrible pain and her ears were beyond treatment. This has left her with very limited hearing. She also is on heart medication for life but it doesn’t slow her down. This tiny girl has the sweetest temperament and gets along great with other dogs as well as cats. Her best friend at her foster home is a 9 month old kitten. She is still puppyish and very playful and loves to throw her toys in the air and try to catch them. She is house-trained but will need easy access to a yard. She loves her crate and sleeps happily in it all night but we do not recommend her for a home where she would be crated for more than 4 hrs a day. She would love to have a dog or cat sibling. She keeps her foster mom laughing all day and would be a great addition to a home where she can get the attention she deserves after spending the first year of her life outside in a cage. Elvira is being fostered in Salem, Oregon.
