June 24, 1934 — August 21, 2016
On Sunday, August 21st, 2016, our mother H. "June" Solomon born on June 24th, 1934, of Bridgewater, formerly of Vandergrift and Monroeville transitioned into an Angel. I have lost my partner in crime.
In 2014, Mom retired as the Postmaster of the Shippingport Post Office at the age of 80 where she adored each and every customer and Cindy her Postmaster Relief.
Mom was the counter manager for Estee' Lauder Cosmetics at the Monroeville Mall. A Vandergrift High School Graduate and a Practical Nurse. She was married to our Father, George Matheos Mustakas, who preceded her in death on April 19th, 2012. Mom enjoyed polka dancing and precision roller skating. Her most recent passion was traveling with her grandson, Mr. Magoo, across the USA including the Westminster Dog Show in New York City. Mom leaves behind her son, Arthur George Mustakas, Key West/Wildwood/Pittsburgh and myself, her daughter, Crystal Bennet, Bridgewater, with Geoff Figley, Center Twp. In addition, her brother, Edward Solomon and his wife Jill, Vandergrift, and her sister, Nancy Rupert, Vandergrift/Ohio and many nieces and nephews.
Mom leaves behind her grandchildren in the surrounding area with their parents: Zorro, Moscato, Duke, Goldie Fawn, Aphrodite, BabyMac, Zydeco, Eskimo, Tiki2, Tubby, Rudy, Leo, Bugatti, Sixspence, Clover, Tank, Carlo and NashaDooma. Preceding in death was her dad, Najeb Solomon and her mother and stepfather, Effie Isaac Solomon Gemza and John Gemza, Vandergrift and a stepsister, Dorothy Solomon Linkus. Mom was an active member of the National Association of Postmasters of the United States, The Bulldog Club of America, The Lakeland Bulldog Club, The Beaver County Kennel Club and The Lebanese Club.
Her daughter with a broken heart, Crystal Bennett.
